Journal post processing job
The journal post processing job processes the mailboxes marked as Process as journal.
It is reading all emails from the mailbox(es) selected in the section Address book objects to process of the job. It checks the recipients of the email (To, Cc, Bcc) and if the recipient mailbox is present in the Address book, the mail is duplicated into that mailbox. The group membership is also resolved – when the recipient is a group, the mails are duplicated into the mailboxes of the group.
Important: The duplicating is based on the actual group membership = not checking if the user was a member of the group when the email was sent.
The job uses bookmarking – if an email has been already processed, it will not be processed again, even if there are new mailboxes provisioned. To duplicate the already processed emails to the newly provisioned mailboxes, the bookmark has to be deleted from the database table [JOURNAL_POSTPROCESSING_SETTINGS].
