Service settings

Introduction​

The Service settings page in the contentACCESS installation package allows the administrator to configure the Windows account under which the contentACCESS service will run.

Configure the service account​

The administrator can choose between the following options:

  • Local System: The service runs as the Local System account. No credentials are required.
  • Custom Windows credentials: The service runs under a specific local or domain user account. When this option is selected, the administrator must provide the corresponding Windows credentials.

Note: When using custom Windows credentials, the administrator can run a test to verify that the provided credentials are valid before continuing.
