Legacy email archive connectors

Introduction​

Legacy email archive connectors allow contentACCESS to interoperate with previously deployed email archiving systems through mixed archiving, connecting both the legacy archive and the new contentACCESS archive.

By installing the appropriate retrieve service and configuring it in contentACCESS Central Administration and on the legacy server, you can:

  • retrieve old email archive shortcuts created by the legacy system;
  • check the legacy archive using the contentACCESS Portal.

It is recommended to install the retrieve service on the legacy archive server.

Note: To work with existing legacy shortcuts, the legacy email archive system should be turned off.

contentACCESS provides two legacy archive connectors:

  • Legacy archive connector for Metalogix Archive Manager Exchange Edition (MAM EE)
  • Legacy archive connector for Email Lifecycle Manager (ELM)

The following subchapters describe how to install the MAM EE and ELM retrieve services and how to perform the necessary configurations in contentACCESS.
