Shortcut repair job

Introduction

The Shortcut repair job allows administrators to replace incorrectly created contentACCESS shortcuts in live mailboxes without affecting database and storage size.

There are situations when mails are archived with a shortcut type that turns out to be incorrect, usually because of incorrect planning or bad decisions. When shortcuts already created need to be replaced, the Shortcut repair job solves this problem while keeping the database and storage size under control.

How the Shortcut repair job works

The Shortcut repair job is a mailbox crawler: it scans live mailboxes and locates contentACCESS shortcuts. It can locate all types of shortcuts:

  • Keep original
  • HTML
  • Normal

The whole mailbox is scanned, but the administrator can define which folders should be included and excluded.
