Do I need to create separate tenants for file archiving and email archiving
Introduction
This page addresses a common configuration question: whether separate tenants are required when setting up contentACCESS for both file archiving and email archiving.
Do you need separate tenants for file and email archiving?
It is not necessary to create separate tenants for file archiving and email archiving. Instead, you can create separate databases within the same tenant — one database for file archiving and another for email archiving.
The recommended number of databases depends on:
- the archivable mailbox count, in the case of email archiving;
- the archivable root count, in the case of file archiving.
