GDPR Processing

Introduction

The GDPR Processing settings define the data sources scanned by GDPR jobs in contentACCESS. Similar to how File archive jobs rely on root folders and connections, and Email archive and SharePoint archive jobs rely on mailboxes, GDPR jobs rely on the data sources configured on this page to determine which locations and systems are scanned when a job runs.

GDPR jobs use the following data sources:

  • File system settings
  • Exchange settings
  • Applications

The following sections describe how each data source is configured and what it is used for.

File system settings

The File system settings define the file system locations that a GDPR job scans for personal data, such as network shares or local folders.

Exchange settings

The Exchange settings define the Exchange resources — such as mailboxes — that a GDPR job scans for personal data.

Applications

The Applications settings define the applications that a GDPR job scans for personal data.
