Software and hardware requirements
The following hardware requirements are needed to run the contentACCESS installation wizard:

Software requirements:
- supported operating systems (64-bit only): Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2025 (Learn more about the supported operating systems here)
- Microsoft SQL Server: MS SQL 2022, MS SQL 2025
- Microsoft Outlook (64 bit version): 2016, 2019, 2021, 2024, Microsoft 365
- .NET Framework 4.8
- Internet Information Services (IIS) and ASP .NET 4.8
- iFilters for indexing (download from here)
- JAVA (search server only) The contentACCESS installation wizard checks these requirements and installs .NET Framework, IIS, and JAVA automatically if needed.
