Virtual drive
Introduction
The Virtual drive is a virtual file system provided by contentACCESS that presents and virtualizes the data — files and folders — of an actual disk to the end user. A virtual drive does not physically exist on the computer, but it contains the exact structure of the items that have been processed by contentACCESS.
Developed by TECH-ARROW, the contentACCESS Virtual Drive serves as a key access point between the end user and the contentACCESS File Archive. It is an essential tool for customers using the contentACCESS File System Archive, as it is used to retrieve archived files from shortcuts. End users can also view archived items directly from this drive.
Configuration
The Virtual drive configurations are accessible on the Virtual drive configurations page of Central Administration.
